Couples & Relationship Therapy

Do you keep having the same arguments without really getting anywhere? One or both of you might feel unheard, misunderstood or as though you're having to defend your own perspective. You may be struggling with changes in intimacy, trust or connection, or finding it difficult to navigate a particular stage of your relationship.

Often, what we're arguing about on the surface isn't the whole story. Beneath recurring disagreements there may be unmet needs, different expectations, old hurts or feelings that are difficult to express. Understanding what's happening underneath the conflict can help create a different starting point for change.

Relationship therapy offers an opportunity to slow these patterns down and become curious about what each person is experiencing. Rather than focusing on who is right or wrong, we can explore how you each make sense of what's happening, what you need from one another and where your experiences or expectations differ.

My approach is centred on helping people develop understanding and empathy, so that difficulties can be approached as something to work through together, rather than something that places you on opposing sides. This doesn't mean you have to agree on everything or lose sight of your individual needs. It means finding ways to recognise and work with your differences, while building a stronger sense of connection and teamwork.

I work with couples and other relationship configurations, including adult family members, friends and colleagues. You don't need to be at breaking point to seek support. Relationship therapy can also be a space to strengthen communication, understand one another better or navigate change together.
